Iowa State University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences announced today the appointment of Michael F. Dahlstrom as the 17th director of the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication at Iowa State University.

Shannon Latham (’93 agricultural journalism, public service & administration in agriculture) is the recipient of the 2020 Greenlee Professional Achievement Award, and Kacey Birchmier (’11 journalism) is the recipient of the 2020 Greenlee Young Alumni Award.
The White House Historical Association in partnership with the Greenlee School and the White House Correspondents’ Association has awarded Olivia Benjamin with the Hugh S. Sidey Scholarship in Print Journalism. Benjamin will receive $5,000 and an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C.
The 2020 Greenlee Awards and Honors Banquet was canceled due to COVID-19, but we still want to recognize the achievements of our alumni and students, including 2019-20 award winners, scholarship recipients and graduating seniors. See the list of honorees on our website.
As we’ve all adapted to the new normal to successfully complete this year, we remain grateful for the time spent with students — both face to face and virtually — and have fond memories from classes this year.
