Two Greenlee students receive Wallace E. Barron All-University Senior Award

Mariana Gonzalez and Anna Olson both received the Wallace E. Barron All-University Senior award, which recognizes outstanding seniors who display high character, outstanding achievement in academics and university/community activities, and promise for continuing these exemplary qualities as alumni. Gonzalez and Olson were two of seven Iowa State University students selected for this prestigious Iowa State University Alumni Association award.

First Amendment Days focuses on faith

About 60% of people believe that the media perpetuates faith-based stereotypes rather than protecting against them, according to a survey by HarrisX. On Wednesday, local faith and media leaders joined together during the “Covering Faith: Facts & Friction in the News Media” First Amendment Days event to discuss solutions on how they can cooperate to bring religion back into local media in good faith.

March Madness 2023

My name is Harper Snead. I am a junior at Iowa State, studying public relations and communication studies. In March of 2023, I was fortunate enough to volunteer at the March Madness Midwest Regional Tournament during the Sweet Sixteen and Elite Eight rounds in Kansas City, Missouri.

21st Annual First Amendment Days

First Amendment Days is a weeklong celebration of our First Amendment freedoms – religion, speech, press, assembly, petition. This year the celebration will be April 10-14. A diverse assortment of speakers, events and activities are offered on campus every spring as a creative way to engage students and the entire Iowa State community to better understand the power of free expression.
