21st Annual First Amendment Days

First Amendment Days is a weeklong celebration of our First Amendment freedoms – religion, speech, press, assembly, petition. This year the celebration will be April 10-14. A diverse assortment of speakers, events and activities are offered on campus every spring as a creative way to engage students and the entire Iowa State community to better understand the power of free expression.

LAS Week: March 27-31

LAS Week is an event to celebrate the College of Liberal Arts and Science’s diverse academic areas in the physical and life sciences, math and computational sciences, communications, arts and humanities, and social sciences.

First Generation

I am a first generation. This means I was the first born on American soil. The first one to be a part of 82% of first generations to finish high school. The first one out of 36% of Latinos to go to college. (Link: https://pnpi.org/latino-students/) The first one to have a better life than my family did.
