Bio
Maria Charbonneaux teaches in the Greenlee School and oversees the Meredith Apprentice Program at Iowa State. She has more than 15 years experience creating content for national media brands. She most recently served as Greenlee’s communications specialist. Prior to returning to her alma mater in 2016, she spent 10 years at Meredith Corporation as a writer and editor for various titles in the decorating, remodeling and crafts spaces, including Do It Yourself, Kitchen + Bath Makeovers, American Patchwork & Quilting, and Scrapbooks etc. She got her start in magazines as a member of Iowa State’s second cohort of Meredith apprentices and through internships with Parents in New York (ASME) and Meredith’s custom publishing department. She freelances for titles including Better Homes and Gardens, Jonathan + Drew Reveal, Do It Yourself and Secrets of Getting Organized. She is a 2014 Iowa State University Alumni Association STATEment maker.
