Assistant Professor [Tracy Lucht]() is presenting a paper, titled “The Personal Was Political: Sylvia Porter and the Development of Personal Finance Journalism,” at the Business History Conference in Denver on March 31. She received a $5,000 research stipend from ISU’s Center for Excellence in the Arts and Humanities for “Doing It Themselves: Theorizing Agency in the Careers of Women Broadcasters, 1922–1972,” a historical project that examines women’s sources of self-empowerment in twentieth-century radio and television.
