Angela Powers, Greenlee School director and professor, has been elected to serve a three-year term on the Association of Schools of Journalism and Mass Communication (ASJMC) Executive Committee. In this role, she will represent medium-sized journalism and mass communication programs.
Michael Bugeja, professor in the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication, has been awarded the title of Iowa State University Distinguished Professor. Bugeja is the first professor in journalism and mass communication at Iowa State to earn this distinction.
Dara Wald, assistant professor, was selected as the 2019 recipient of the Cassling Innovation Award by the Iowa State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Wald was recognized for her extensive collaboration with faculty and students in several disciplines across campus and her innovative approach to research and education.
Assistant Professor Jan Lauren Boyles has been elected to serve as vice chair of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication’s Council of Divisions. In this position, she will also begin a four-year term on AEJMC’s Board of Directors.
