Wigton’s ADVRT/PR 301 Class Partners with Kum & Go

Lecturer Michael Wigton reports the following:

* ADVRT/PR 301 Strategic Planning: His class is partnering with the Communications Director at Kum & Go to uncover target audience insights. The project entails developing promotional strategies that Kum & Go can implement next summer targeting Millennials. This is a semester-long project with client presentations during finals week.
* ADVRT 334 Advertising Creativity: New this semester, he has implemented a “Women in Advertising” speaker series for the class. “I have leveraged my female contacts in the business and asked them to discuss challenges they’ve faced as women in the creative advertising field,” he stated.
* APEX (Academic Program for EXcellence): During the summer Wigton hosted 15 multi-cultural first-year students. “We met at Greenlee and I discussed our majors, student clubs and gave them a tour of our building.”
