Kim Guthrie joins Greenlee Advisory Council

The [Greenlee Advisory Council](https://alumni.greenlee.iastate.edu/advisory-council/) welcomed its newest member at its fall meeting Oct. 27. [Kim Guthrie](https://alumni.greenlee.iastate.edu/directory/kim-guthrie/) (’84), president of Cox Media Group, began a three-year term.

“Kim started her career as a journalist, and her first love is journalism. She’s an industry leader, and we are so fortunate to have her join the council,” said Barb Iverson, council chair.

As president of the integrated broadcasting, publishing and digital media subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, Inc., Guthrie oversees all content, sales and operations for 14 broadcast television stations; more than 60 radio stations; six daily newspapers, more than a dozen non-daily publications; and more than 100 digital sites and services, like Rare.us, Clark.com, Dawg Nation, SEC Country, Hookem.com, and Mundo Hispanico. Additionally, CMG operates the National Advertising Platform businesses of CoxReps – the country’s biggest television rep firm – Gamut, and Videa.

[Elias Johnson](https://alumni.greenlee.iastate.edu/directory/elias-johnson/), WOI-TV’s Good Morning Iowa anchor, and [Alan Mores](https://alumni.greenlee.iastate.edu/directory/alan-mores/) (’80), co-publisher of Harlan Newspapers, began their second three-year terms in October.
