A message from Greenlee School interim director Michael Dahlstrom

Black lives matter—in our school, in our university and in our larger world. The senseless killing of George Floyd and too many others has caused pain in our Greenlee family, on our campus and in the larger community. We condemn racism, injustice, police brutality and violence of any kind, and we stand with those using their First Amendment rights to speak up, assemble and peacefully protest. We also stand with the press as they do the important work of telling these stories.

We mustn’t recoil from the suffering around us. A good journalist knows that suffering is where truth strains to be heard. Listen. Ask. Listen harder. Then use that truth to shape a better world.
