    ISD Media Group

    Employing more than 280 students annually, ISD Media Group is the organization that coordinates all aspects of the Iowa State Daily and Model Farm. The Daily is an independent, student-run, nonprofit organization owned and operated by students for the students, faculty, staff and alumni that make up the ISU community.  Model Farm is a creative services incubator started by the Iowa State Daily. It bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world expectations, providing paid experiential learning experiences for students with skills in graphic design, videography, photography and writing.

  • Cardinal Eats

    Cardinal Eats is a food publication with the purpose of building a community of food lovers at Iowa State and the Ames community. Cardinal Eats has three main goals: (1) share our love for food through a print publication and online posts (2) give ISU students real-life experience in journalism, online media, photography, marketing and events (3) gather together to enjoy food at events hosted by Cardinal Eats. This organization is advised by faculty in the College of Human Sciences.

  • Ethos Magazine

    Ethos magazine is an award-winning publication serving the students of Iowa State. It is a general-interest magazine that covers the culture of Iowa State — anything from cool clubs to social justice issues. It is the only magazine for Iowa State students that publishes three times a year. It has a circulation of 1,200. Ethos provides an extremely valuable learning experience by giving students a chance to contribute to a widely circulated publication, both in print and online. Ethos is produced by Iowa State students, and Iowa State students only.

  • KURE 88.5 Ames Alternative

    KURE 88.5 is student-produced and student-managed radio station, broadcast at 88.5MHz to Iowa State University and the Ames community and online. It provides the community with a wide range of musical genres alongside live broadcasts of Cyclone sporting events, news programs, talk shows and in-studio musical performance. KURE offers killer opportunities for experience in radio broadcasting and business operation to its all-volunteer student staff.

    Greenlee School TV is student-run broadcast organization. Its programming can be seen on the Greenlee School TV YouTube channel. There are currently four shows airing: Newswatch on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, KURE Sports on GreenleeSchoolTV and Cyclone Incyders on Tuesday evenings, and Ames Tonight on Thursday evenings. You can participate on the air, on production crews or on the management team. This organization welcomes students from all majors, backgrounds and experience levels.

    TREND magazine is a student-run publication focusing on fashion, beauty and lifestyle for women and men in the Iowa State University community. Members of Trend bring their talents and love of fashion to the magazine from many different majors on campus, including students in graphic design, integrated arts, English, marketing, journalism, public relations, advertising, event management, and apparel, merchandising, and design where the magazine is administered and advised.
