Boyles to Present at AEJMC Conference; Coordinating News and Online News Paper Competition

Assistant Professor Jan Lauren Boyles has been invited as a pre-conference presenter on algorithmic transparency at this year’s Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) annual gathering this summer. As research co-chair for AEJMC’s largest division (Newspaper and Online News), Boyles will also be working this month to coordinate the paper competition.

Last month, Boyles led a workshop for ISU graduate students in big data with Dr. Sallie Keller, director and professor of statistics at Virginia Tech. Keller was a guest of the Office of the Vice President’s faculty steering committee on data-driven science.
