The Greenlee School’s Spring 2018 Jump-Start Internship and Networking Fair will be noon-4 p.m. Feb. 15 in the Great Hall of the Memorial Union.

Free to students and employers, this small, boutique-style fair connects students majoring in advertising, journalism, public relations and related fields with businesses and organizations searching for interns and employees in those fields.

Internships are an integral part of a student’s education because they allow students to refine and expand the knowledge and skills gained in and out of the classroom.

All Greenlee School students are required to complete a 400-hour internship as a capstone course. Juli Probasco-Sowers, internship coordinator, said the Greenlee School hosts the fair as a resource for students as they seek to gain valuable, hands-on experiences in a professional environment. Many of the employers attending are offering internships that will meet the Greenlee School’s ADVRT/JL MC/P R 499A requirements.
