Two Greenlee students receive Wallace E. Barron All-University Senior Award

Mariana Gonzalez and Anna Olson both received the Wallace E. Barron All-University Senior award, which recognizes outstanding seniors who display high character, outstanding achievement in academics and university/community activities, and promise for continuing these exemplary qualities as alumni. Gonzalez and Olson were two of seven Iowa State University students selected for this prestigious Iowa State University Alumni Association award.

Six Iowa State students have been selected to participate in the Dotdash Meredith Apprentice Program for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Now in its 20th year, the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication’s partnership with Dotdash Meredith places Iowa State students in year-long apprenticeships at the nation’s largest digital and print publisher.

I am a first generation. This means I was the first born on American soil. The first one to be a part of 82% of first generations to finish high school. The White House Historical Association in partnership with Iowa State University’s Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication and the White House Correspondents’ Association, have awarded student Cooper Pierce with the Hugh S. Sidey Scholarship in Print Journalism.

The fall 2022 Jump-Start Internship & Networking Fair will be held virtually via CyHire on Oct. 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The fair helps students majoring in advertising, journalism and mass communication, public relations and related fields to build their personal network of local and regional employers and learn about internship and job opportunities.
