The Greenlee School will host the Fall 2019 Jump-Start Internship and Networking Fair from noon-4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, in the Memorial Union Great Hall. The fair connects employers with Iowa State University students majoring in journalism, advertising, public relations and related fields. Employer registration is open through Sept. 20.
Joel Davis, Vice President/General Manager at WRAL TV and WRAZ TV in Raleigh, North Carolina, will share career and networking advice for students at the Greenlee School’s 2019 Futures Forum at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019. The lecture will be located in the Memorial Union Campanile Room.
Madison Pincombe has been chosen to intern for the American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) program over the summer. Pincombe, an incoming senior in journalism and mass communication from Madison, Wisconsin, will serve as an intern for The Knot, a wedding magazine, in New York City. Pincombe will be working on content for the seasonal print publication and digital website.

The Iowa State Daily and Ethos magazine were recognized by the Associated Collegiate Press and the College Media Association at the National College Media Convention Oct. 25-28 in Louisville, Kentucky, for work published during the 2017-18 academic year.
Eric Schmalz, community manager of the History Unfolded project at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, will explore Holocaust news coverage in Iowa and other Midwestern states during two lectures on the Iowa State University campus Monday, Nov. 5.
