More than diverse, class and work teams need to be inclusive

Associate Professor Joel Geske decided to make a change in his advertising classes after reading survey responses from students who felt left out or not valued when working on team projects. Geske says you must be intentional to be inclusive, both in the classroom and workplace.

ISU advertising grads take home top honors in national competition

Two recent Greenlee School graduates showcased their knowledge of political media planning in Washington, D.C. Emily Belloma (’17 marketing, advertising) and Mia Guion (’17 advertising) won the 2017 Media Plan Case Competition, earning the National Excellence in Media Award from the Washington Media Scholars Foundation. Greenlee School student debt falls

Greenlee School average student debt—at record lows for Advertising students with decreasing debt for Journalism and Public Relations majors—has fallen to an average $26,200 compared to the University’s $27,563, latest data show. Belloma offers Media Fellows scholarship advice

Emily Belloma, senior in marketing and advertising, was awarded a prestigious scholarship through the Washington Media Scholars Foundation’s Media Fellows program in December 2016 for the 2016–17 academic year. The foundation awards scholarships to undergraduates who are interested in pursuing careers in strategic public policy advertising research, management, planning and buying.
