Madison Pincombe has been chosen to intern for the American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) program over the summer. Pincombe, an incoming senior in journalism and mass communication from Madison, Wisconsin, will serve as an intern for The Knot, a wedding magazine, in New York City. Pincombe will be working on content for the seasonal print publication and digital website.
AMES, Iowa- Alex Connor, senior in journalism and mass communication, was selected as the 2018 Hugh S. Sidey Scholarship in Print Journalism. The Greenlee School will host the Jump-Start Internship and Networking Fair from noon-4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019, in the Memorial Union Great Hall. This boutique-style fair offers Iowa State University students the opportunity to connect with dozens of employers offering internships and jobs in journalism, advertising, public relations and other related fields.
The Iowa State Daily and Ethos magazine were recognized by the Associated Collegiate Press and the College Media Association at the National College Media Convention Oct. 25-28 in Louisville, Kentucky, for work published during the 2017-18 academic year.
Eric Schmalz, community manager of the History Unfolded project at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, will explore Holocaust news coverage in Iowa and other Midwestern states during two lectures on the Iowa State University campus Monday, Nov. 5.
