The Association for Women in Communications is a professional organization that has championed the advancement of women across all communication disciplines since 1909. It recognizes excellence, promotes leadership and positions members at the forefront of the evolving communications era.
The Iowa State University AWC chapter helps prepare women for various communication fields by fostering networking opportunities through job shadows and guest speakers. Students in all Iowa State majors with career interests in communications are encouraged to join. The organization focuses on building a community full of involved, motivated women in the communications field and provides the opportunity to make valuable connections.
The Iowa State chapter of AWC is on temporary hiatus due to COVID-19. If you’re interested in learning more about the organization, please contact faculty advisor Kelly Winfrey.
