Aronsen Wins 2016 INA Reporting Awards

Instructor Gavin Aronsen, graduate student, won two awards at the recent Iowa Newspaper Association convention for his work at the Ames Tribune prior to joining the Greenlee School’s master’s program:

• Coverage of Government and Politics, first place (staff award), 2016, Daily 1 (under 10,000 circulation), as Ames Tribune city/local government reporter
• Best News Story, first place, 2016, Daily 1 (under 10,000 circulation), for Ames Tribune story on the "Fort Kids" spending their summer outdoors in violation of a city ordinance
