Professor Michael Bugeja spent a few days at Bemidji State University earlier this month on a site visit for the Mass Communication Department.

“I was impressed with the dedication of the faculty to students there and the radio and television facilities that they have access to,” Bugeja said.

He gave advice on stream-lining the curricula, which the Greenlee School has done as a model for other departments and institutions.

Bugeja was also featured in a live Twitter feed on diversity in journalism education, hosted by MediaShift. He submitted two papers and a media ethics teaching idea for the upcoming convention of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication. He blogs for and reports on numismatics for several leading trade publications.
