Associate Professor Gang Han reports the following:
- His paper on author co-citation analysis of health communication scholarship (1989-2012) was presented at ICA annual conference this summer.
- He also chaired a research session—Online health literacy, information processing and seeking – for Health Communication Division at ICA annual conference.
- His first-authored article (coauthored with Prof. Dan Zhu at College of Business, Chengrui Cai, Ph.D. student at College of Engineering, and Wen Wang, former graduate student at Greenlee School), entitled Talking about cancer on Twitter: Health semantics and social media, is forthcoming in Chinese Journal of Journalism and Communication’s special issue on social media and big data.
- In summer and early fall, he reviewed manuscripts for Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, Journal of Public Relations Research, Health Education & Behavior, International Journal of Communication, Asian Journal of Communication, and Chinese Journal of Communication
