Meet Greenlee’s New Media Specialist

CATEGORIES: Faculty & Staff

Maria Charbonneaux joined the staff this week in an early homecoming, as the Greenlee School is her alma mater.

After working on 14 different magazines in 11 years at Meredith Corporation, Charbonneaux, a 2007 graduate, says she is excited to join the School and handle media tasks, including news, video, digital, audio and visuals.

Most recently, she was an editor for Do It Yourself magazine, where she combined her passion for DIYing with her love of writing, editing and producing.

She and her husband, John, have an infant son, Flynn, and a dog who thinks he’s an infant, Cosmo.

Maria says her current challenge is making sense of Snapchat; she’s much more a fan of Instagram (@mcharbonneaux).

“We’re delighted to welcome Maria back to Hamilton Hall,” said Michael Bugeja, director, who thanked the search committee for their work in replacing Matt Wettengel, who did fine work before leaving the School earlier this year.

Bugeja thanked the Search Committee that hired Charbonneaux: Alyssa Rutt, chair; and members Michael Dahlstrom, Kathy Box and student Meredith Kestel.
