Wald honored with Cassling Innovation Award

Dara Wald, assistant professor, was selected as the 2019 recipient of the Cassling Innovation Award by the Iowa State University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Wald was recognized for her extensive collaboration with faculty and students in several disciplines across campus and her innovative approach to research and education.

Celebrate First Amendment Days 2019 – April 8-12, 2019

The Greenlee School hosts its 17th annual First Amendment Days April 8 through 12, and the celebration is bigger than ever! This year’s theme is “Express Yourself.” The schedule includes panels, a workshop, the Feast on the First with an art demo by artist and influencer Timmy Ham (@iamsloth), and a lecture and live performance by Simon Tam of The Slants. First Amendment series continues at Iowa State University

Simon Tam of The Slants, will present “A Name Worth Fighting For: How Being Asian Got Me in Trouble,” at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, in the Memorial Union Great Hall as part of First Amendment Days, April 8-12. The First Amendment series will continue on April 23 with “Shut Up and Dance,” a musical celebration of the First Amendment.

Senior Alex Connor awarded 2018 Hugh Sidey Scholarship
